Here’s to hoping for a fairy godmother or a fleet of angels for you and I both, so that these superb, luxury items should manifest. To me, they warrant a showcase here on the blog because my remote research has found that each of them works wonders for the skin and teeth. Yes, teeth. So in no particular order, here are four luxury items worth considering if you’re in the mood for a splurge.

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist

Omorovicza stormed onto the contemporary beauty scene in 2006. I recall that moment when their star was rising, seeing their items in magazines and on all the glossy digitals. As a Hungarian brand whose roots stretch back to the 1800’s, Omorovicza’s luxury beauty products have gone on to win awards while attaining’cult’ status. A key ingredient common to all of the products is the Hungarian Thermal Water, which is included in their skincare formulations via their Mineral Cosmetology™. One of the latest items to make a splash is this limited edition mist, in this pretty pink bottle. While the mist is not new to the brand, this limited-edition version comes in at 1.7 ounces, while the regular mist measures 3.4 ounces with an accompanying higher price.

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist

Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist contains brightening ingredients such as acerola, apple fruit extract, orange flower water, yeast extract and Rosa Damascena flower water. The mist is meant to be used as a refresher, as a toner and to add moisture to all skin types. While there are a multitude of mists from which to choose at varying price points, if you’re looking for efficacy, this is an excellent choice.

La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion

La Prairie, one of the most well-known skin care brands coming out of Switzerland, has maintained its position as a luxury brand that consistently offers technologically innovative formulas. After the introduction of Skin Caviar, a cutting-edge technology rooted in the use of caviar and pioneering micro-delivery of ingredients, La Prairie maintains its ability to mesmerise.

La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence in Lotion

Enter La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion, a pre-serum treatment that prepares the skin to effectively receive and optimise subsequent products that are applied to the skin. It also hydrates and over time, the texture of the skin is refined. Formulated with caviar-water, this is the gateway to La Prairie’s Skin Caviar category that also includes creams, eye serums and even a foundation and concealer set that has received numerous accolades. If you need help in justifying the cost, know that you never need to use plenty, so by breaking down the cost by the number of times you’ll use it, this is a purchase that may just make sense.

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Toothbrush

I know it’s odd to lust after a toothbrush, but Philips doesn’t just make standard toothbrushes. Philips, a Dutch company, has cornered the market with their design innovation for 120 years and counting. I have a Philips toothbrush and have been spoiled by the experience of feeling like my own personal dental hygienist, to an extent.

Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean Sonic Electric Toothbrush

However, as Philips remains at the forefront of design innovation, this new Philips Sonicare Diamondclean Toothbrush boasts incredible features that include multiple brush modes, two heads, a charger, plus the ability to remove nasties from the teeth and gums while whitening, at home. Indeed, this is the Hope Diamond of toothbrushes. While not as costly as the Hope Diamond, this toothbrush is meant to work hard at keeping your teeth in top condition. Plus, in this shade of pink, it is sure to bring an element of joy and femininity to your bathroom sink.

Natura Bisse Diamond Extreme Eye

Yes, I believe in eye creams and eye serums. Without them, my eye contour is dry and looks lackluster. If nothing else, it keeps the area hydrated and offers a perfect base for eye primer and eye shadow on the days I wear makeup. If I remember correctly, it was some time ago I was lucky to receive a deluxe sample of the acclaimed Natura Bisse Diamond Extreme Eye. I loved it so much that I actually contemplated buying it until I stopped myself and allowed restraint to prevail.

Natura Bissee Diamond Extreme Eye

Hailing from Spain, Natura Bisse’s stable of award-winning products has offered healthy competition to many of the industry’s heritage brands. I took great pains to stretch out that sample, especially since the tiniest amount was needed to cover the eye contour. Almost instantly, I saw that my eyes responded to the formula that contains calendula, horsetail, licorice, ursolic acid (from the skins of fruits such as apples and from herbs and plants) mango seed extract and shea butter among other ingredients. The texture hit the right note between being emollient enough without feeling sticky or greasy while providing the perfect pitch of hydration. My eye contour was brightened, lifted and smoothed out, and was a further demonstration of the fact that the eye contour should never be neglected. There are eye creams and eye serums at every price point out there. While a formulator or cosmetic scientist may say that there is never any justification for a cosmetic product to cost as much as this one, as a consumer I can speak to the results I saw when I used it. If you’re truly intrigued, head to the counter for a sample or do some digging online. For those in the US, sometimes British and European beauty websites offer much better prices, just make sure the website is reputable as you search for deals. To round up, these items cannot be had for a song, but innovation comes at a cost. Fairy god mother and angels, do take note.
