Mintd Box Celebrates 2 Years of Their Luxe Beauty Subscription

mintd box celebrates

Mintd Box celebrates 2 years with July’s box containing four premium skincare products. I’ve integrated each product into my dry-skin life routine but each product can serve other skin types as well. The four products also make complete sense for a rookie skincare convert or a seasoned skincare veteran, so here’s the lineup:

Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser

Omorovicza Rose Lifting Serum

Oskia Skincare Renaissance Mask

De Mamiel Dewy Facial Mist

Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser signifies my first foray into the brand founded by Sunday Riley in 2009. With the intention to create products using the purest ingredients after having worked in cosmetic formulation labs, Ms. Riley felt that her chemistry background offered her an edge in designing and bringing her brand to life. While I was a bit hesitant to use this cleanser at first, as clay-based products are not what I generally seek out, I forged forward and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. With an easy to use texture, mild scent and the ability to cut through makeup or used as a one or two-minute mask, I appreciate this cleanser’s versatility and usefulness.

Taking the time to seek out a good cleanser that also works to balance and clarify skin is an approach that I’d always advocate for. Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser meets that demand superbly and makes clearer skin a real possibility with consistent use. Despite having French green clay along with Moroccan Rhassoul Clay in the formula, it does not make my skin drier than it already is. The formula also includes neroli oil, black pepper oil, jasmine oil and frankincense oil. Its silky texture makes it easy to massage into the face with hands or a cloth. Plus, it foams slightly but never strips the skin. I’d still recommend using a dedicated eye-makeup remover along with this cleanser but otherwise, it emulsifies all other makeup and breaks down sunscreen too. You won’t need a second cleanser with this one but if doing the cleansing two-step is your thing, then this is a spot-on addition to your routine whether your skin is normal, sensitive, oily or combination.

Omorovicza Rose Lifting Serum

I’m starting to see a pattern with Omorovicza, and it’s a good one. This vegan Rose Lifting Serum combines the pleasure of a fast absorbing, slightly pearly, light-texture with a formula that offers an instant tightening feel to the skin. Geared towards dry, mature, combination skin-types or those who like the feel of tensing products, this serum harnesses the combined power of sea mayweed, natural polysaccharides, ruby crystal, polypeptides and Omorovicza’s own Healing Concentrate. Added to that, all Omorovicza products are paraben, silicone, gluten and phthalate free. When I look at my skin with this serum on and nothing else, the brightening effect is evident and it also appears to make the ‘eleven’s’ at the side of my mouth less pronounced.

At this time, I am unable to attest to dramatic changes as I’ve only been using the Omorovicza Rose Lifting Serum for a short while. However, it offers instant gratification in the form of a tightened, brightened look while also serving as a good makeup base.

De Mamiel Dewy Facial Mist

mintd box celebrates

For a seconds long ritual in a bottle, de Mamiel Dewy Facial Mist is not to be dismissed lightly. Generally, many facial mists can be created at home with basic ingredients and a set of spray bottles. However, the ingredients in this facial mist have been expertly blended by the indomitable Annee de Mamiel, founder of the stellar skincare line, de Mamiel. I completely used up my jar of Restorative Cleansing Balm from the brand, a hypnotic, thick, herbal scented balm that I wrote about here. Do forgive my effusiveness, but this is a brand that resonates deeply for me. The Dewy Facial Mist has a long list of ingredients that include persian rose floral water, neroli flower water, olive, almond and borage seed glycerides, pre-biotics, peony, rose geranium, cucumber and rose quartz.

De Mamiel Dewy Facial Mist delivers a veil of hydration coupled with the magical scent of botanicals and oils that have been hand-blended. The scent instantly uplifts, calms and centres you. If you have a flight in your future, this should be with you to counteract dry aeroplane air. Other than that, I’d say to keep it on your sink or at your desk and spritz as much as you desire, but sparingly. De Mamiel describes the mist as a ‘serum in a mist’ that happens to also have anti-pollution and skin-energising properties.

I shared my first experience with Mintd Box here and I invite you to have a read if you’re seeking a beauty subscription with flexibility and outfitted with products curated to match contemporary lifestyles. Otherwise, as Mintd box celebrates 2 years, they’ve curated a stellar box that’s been properly thought through, high on value and a pleasure to have. I’d love to know if any of these brands have ever boasted pride of place in your routine.

Marie all these products are so luxurious and the way you describe is just beautiful. The pretty pink mask and the mist sound so dreamy. I know these are some very high priced items but anything that says firming, brightening and lifting I am sold. Beautiful pictures as always and I am learning so many new things from your blog. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
