Since the launch of Fenty Beauty with all of the groundbreaking products and expanded shade ranges they’ve come out with, the cream blush is only the second product I’ve bought. I’ve been getting into cream blush a great deal this year and this was so hyped, it was hard to pass on it.
I have the shade Strawberry Drip , a skin-flattering, soft coral pink that is easy to apply with fingers although I prefer buffing it in with a flat-top brush to ensure that it doesn’t go on patchy. The sweat-resistant, easy to blend cream formula is totally buildable and it’s hard to overdo it because it’s far sheerer than it looks in the pan.
As much as Strawberry Drip is easy to apply, it looks pretty good on bare skin but somehow, layering it over a skin tint or your favourite foundation makes it pop even more and helps it to wear better. Plus it shows up under finishing powder. It fuses with my skin tone easily to deliver a life-like, natural-looking finish that’s anything but overdone.
On my dry skin, it retained its luminosity throughout and lasted until removed several hours later although there was some fading. While the Fenty Beauty cream blush compact is a tiny one, to me it makes sense because anything bigger would have been too much so it will make a great travel companion.
The one thing I’d say you should take pains to ensure is that your brush or fingers are completely clean before dipping in to the cream. And maybe give it a wipe after each use to prevent makeup residue buildup in the pan because you’ll see it.
Currently, there are ten shades to choose from and hopefully, they add more shades in the future. The Fenty Beauty Cream Blush is a good first foray for the brand in this category and a great option if you’re new to cream blush, so I hope this helps.
