As more of us begin de-quarantining and businesses re-open, manicures and pedicures are likely at the top of the wishlist of things we’d love to have done.
So whether you prefer to slay your mani-pedi at home (raising my hand) or if you need ideas for what to take with you to the nail salon, I’ve rounded up six shades for this year’s summer mani-pedi edit.

Christian Louboutin
Christian Louboutin’s nail polishes from left to right:
Just Nothing and Edgypopi
I recently reviewed Just Nothing; click here to see the post. It’s a gorgeous nude that would suit anyone at any time of year but it’s especially perfect if you really dig neutrals.

Wear time is really good and two coats will suffice for full coverage although you could do a third coat to intensify the colour. With an innovative formula that delivers high shine even without topcoat, I still consider Just Nothing as one of the best neutral-toned nail polishes I’ve come across.

The other shade is Edgypopi, a poppy red that hits all the marks I look for in a summery red nail colour. It’s bright, punchy, has a hint of an orange undertone and looks so beautiful in the sun. Plus it may just lift your mood each time you look at your nails as it does for me.

I also have four new Chanel shades I’ve been testing since their new releases started coming out earlier this year. All four shades are cream formulas and contain no shimmer particles.

Chanel Le Vernis 735 Daydream; a dusty mauve pink cream formula that’s another good neutral choice. This nail colour was released as part of Chanel’s Spring Summer Desert Dream 2020 collection which is really worth checking out if you haven’t already. The collection is a gorgeous take on wearable, soft tones inspired by colours of the desert.

Chanel Le Vernis 739 Mirage; a muted mauve that was also released as part of Chanel’s Desert Dream 2020 collection that includes gorgeous eyeshadows and lip colour that I reviewed in this post.

Chanel Le Vernis 759 Energy; a wearable hot pink that offers a great alternative to muted pinks and mauves.

Chanel Le Vernis 761 Vibration; also in the pink family but on the deeper end. I think of it as more of a statement summer shade but I could also see wearing it during the colder months in lieu of red. Either way, it’s a gorgeous shade that just may surprise you if you tried it and I hope this helps.
