Before And After Sun: The 5 Face and Body Products Currently In My Summer Routine

If you’re ready for the sun and want to do it with your skin’s health in mind, I’m sharing the 5 face and body products currently in my summer routine.

Sunscreen is a must every day, no matter the weather, or the season or the geographical location. But a Summertime skincare routine calls for extra steps, especially since the sun exposure from that beach day or picnic in the park can seriously dry out your skin.

Dior Bronze Ultra Fresh Monoi Balm

  • Formulated with monoi oil, the scent is lovely and not overpowering.
  • Suitable for face and body.
  • Soothes and hydrates skin after sun exposure.
  • Helps to prolong a tan.
  • Packaged in a convenient tube with a flip top.
  • No SPF.

Dior Bronze Ultra Fresh Monoi Balm turned out to be a pleasant surprise as it’s the first time I’ve used a product like this.

Texturally, this is on the thicker side. It feels like an ultra-hydrating lotion that goes right into the skin. This is exactly what’s needed after a day of extended sun exposure. I especially love it for my arms and legs so I also use it post-bath even if I haven’t been outside.

Chanel Hydra Beauty Camellia Repair Mask is exactly what’s needed after a long day in the sun, or at any time your skin needs a hydration boost.

This mask can also be left on or applied to dry areas on the face to soothe. It helps my dry skin feel thoroughly nourished, plumps and I also feel it gives a tightening effect. And of course, it makes skin more receptive to makeup application.

  • Ume Flower Extract and Ume Flower Oil are central to the formula.,
  • Housed in a square plastic jar.

Exclusive to, Le Blanc Healthy Light Creator Mask is best worn while asleep so it can really do the work in restoring your skin. It’s the mask I use after being outside for extended periods and definitely see a difference in the morning.

I also bring it down to my neck and onto my chest where I have a sunburn and it has helped to prevent the skin from peeling or drying out.

Chanel’s Le Blanc Skincare line was introduced around 2017 and consists of products specifically for brightening the skin. The Ume Flower (Japanese Plum Blossoms) is central to the brightening ability in these products. Another one of my favourites from the line is the Le Blanc Essence Lotion which is used after cleansing. It’s a hydrating essence and I’m on my second bottle. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a soothing, hydrating post-cleanse product.

Our skin is our biggest organ and ensuring that it’s soothed and hydrated after sun exposure is so important.

I do hope you’re having a safe summer and that you’re finding ways to maintain good spirits during this surreal time and I hope this helps.

Thanks so much, here’s to beach days xx

  2. Ah, this post has me dreaming of the beach! I hope to finish my current bottle of sunscreen up soon so I can buy the Chanel. All of their skincare sounds so luxurious…maybe if I invest in fancier products skincare won’t feel like such a chore, haha!
